An oval-shaped 925 silver locket featuring a hinged design. The front face is embellished with hand-engraved floral and foliate motifs, incorporating a central flower head and scrolling borders, leaving a plain shield-shaped reserve for a monogram. The reverse of the locket is plain and polished, bearing the stamp SILVER. The locket is suspended from a fine 925 silver curb-link chain by a tapered bail. The item is housed in a black, textured-interior jewellery box.
Condition report:
The item is in good vintage condition. There are fine surface scratches and light tarnishing to the metal surfaces, which is commensurate with age and regular use. The engraving is well-preserved and clear. The hinge remains intact and the locket closes securely.
