This lot consists of two heavy-duty striking tools designed for demolition and landscaping tasks. The first tool is a sledgehammer featuring a large forged metal head. The second tool is a splitting maul with a forged metal head. The composite handle features a yellow shaft and a textured black rubberised grip, both of which are marked with the ROUGHNECK brand name and logo. These tools are professional-grade implements common within the United Kingdom.
Condition report:
Both tools show signs of heavy use and exposure to the elements. The metal heads of both the sledgehammer and the splitting maul exhibit significant surface rust and oxidation. The yellow coating on the handle of the Rolson sledgehammer is heavily chipped and peeling in several areas. The Roughneck splitting maul shows a patch of blue paint or residue on the blade side of the head, and both handles show general surface dirt and wear consistent with regular trade use.
