A lot of two manual tools including a pair of long-handled bypass loppers and a sledgehammer. The loppers are manufactured by Spear & Jackson, as identified by the maker’s crown logo and text on the handle label. This tool features steel bypass blades with a compound lever action, mounted to green-coated tubular metal handles with black foam grips. The sledgehammer consists of a heavy, rectangular double-face steel head fitted to a long wooden handle, likely ash or hickory.
Condition report:
Both items show significant signs of age and heavy use. The steel blades of the loppers and the hammer head exhibit extensive surface rust and pitting. The green finish on the lopper handles is scratched and worn, and one handle grip has been repaired or reinforced with black tape. The wooden handle of the sledgehammer is weathered, and the tool shows traces of cobwebs from long-term storage.
