Buyer's Premium:

A set of five clear glass highball tumblers of tapered cylindrical form. Each glass is decorated with a vibrant polychrome enamel transfer print depicting couples in various historical and traditional European costumes. The figures represent different eras and styles, including a couple in medieval-style attire with the woman wearing a high hennin and a long red gown, a couple in 18th-century dress with the man in a red frock coat and the woman in a green and yellow gown, and a 19th-century couple featuring a man in a top hat and brown coat with a woman in a red skirt and blue bodice. Another pair depicts a late 19th or early 20th-century couple with the man in a bowler hat and the woman in a yellow hat and brown capelet. The coloured figures are set against monochrome, etched-style background landscapes and architectural elements. No maker’s marks, signatures, or factory backstamps are visible on the base or body of the glasses. The manufacturing technique is consistent with British glassworks of the mid-20th century, such as Ravenhead or similar contemporary manufacturers of decorative costume series glassware.

Condition report:

The glasses are in good vintage condition. The enamel transfers remain crisp and retain vibrant coloration with no significant signs of wear or loss visible. There are no apparent chips, cracks, or heavy surface scratching.
