A large vintage hand-carved wooden cat figurine, likely crafted from a solid block of Suar wood. The sculpture depicts a stylized seated cat in an upright posture with a whimsical facial expression including a carved smile and whiskers. The eyes are painted, and the piece features a two-tone finish to highlight the ears, paws, and tail against the natural grain of the wood. This type of carving is characteristic of decorative hand-crafts from Southeast Asia, particularly Indonesia or Thailand, from the late 20th century.
