A set of five clear glass highball tumblers featuring colourful transfer-printed illustrations of figures in various historical and European folk costumes. The designs depict pairs of figures in attire representing different eras, including the Medieval period, 18th-century courtly dress, the Regency period, and late Victorian or Edwardian styles. The decoration is executed in a vibrant multi-coloured enamel-style palette of reds, blues, yellows, and greens with black detailing. The glasses are of a standard cylindrical highball form with slightly weighted bases. No maker’s marks, signatures, or manufacturer backstamps are visible on any of the pieces in the set.
Condition report:
The glasses are in good vintage condition. The transfer-printed illustrations remain bright and are largely intact across the collection. There are no visible chips, cracks, or significant abrasions to the glass. Occasional minor surface wear and light scratches consistent with age and domestic use may be present.
