Attributed to Corgi as part of the 2002 Golden Jubilee collection (likely reference CC25206), this commemorative model represents an open-top double-decker tramcar produced to celebrate fifty years of the reign of Queen Elizabeth II (1952-2002). The model is constructed from die-cast metal with plastic components and is finished in a royal purple livery with gold-tone accents. The upper deck sides are inscribed with 1952 – Queen Elizabeth II – 2002 in gold lettering, while the lower panels feature the Golden Jubilee title flanking a central royal crest. This is a static display model with free-rolling wheels.
The set is complete with its original purple presentation box, featuring a gold-tone satin-effect fabric lining and a clear plastic form-fitting insert for protection. Also present is an original commemorative card mirroring the gold-printed branding of the box lid.
Condition report:
The model tramcar is in excellent, as-new condition, with the paintwork and gold-tone inscriptions appearing crisp and complete. The original presentation box is in good condition, showing only minor signs of shelf wear to the corners. A white adhesive auction lot sticker numbered 687 is applied to the top left corner of the lid. The internal fabric and plastic packaging are well-preserved.
