A collection of eight UK coins struck by the Royal Mint in 1983, presented in the original blue folding card folder titled The Great British 1983 Coin Collection. The set contains eight denominations: nickel-brass one pound, cupro-nickel fifty pence, twenty pence, ten pence, and five pence, and bronze two pence, one penny, and half-penny. Each coin is dated 1983 and displays its standard reverse design, including the Royal Arms on the one pound, a seated Britannia on the fifty pence, a crowned Tudor Rose on the twenty pence, a crowned lion on the ten pence, the Prince of Wales’s feathers on the two pence, a crowned thistle on the five pence, a crowned portcullis on the one penny, and a royal crown on the half-penny. This collection includes the first year of issue for the British one pound coin. The display folder includes illustrated text regarding the coin manufacturing process at the Royal Mint.

Condition report:
The coins are in brilliant uncirculated condition, exhibiting full original mint lustre with no signs of wear or significant toning. The two pence coin is the standard TWO PENCE design variety. The display folder shows minor shelf wear to the edges and light creasing to the corners.
