A trio of decorative brass items including a trumpet-shaped vase and two small footed chalice-style goblets. The vase is decorated with all-over hand-engraved repeating foliate and leaf patterns. One goblet features an engraved thistle-like floral motif, and the second goblet displays a central circular cartouche framed by a foliate wreath and floral emblem. The set is constructed from cast brass with hand-chased and engraved surface decoration. These items are characterised by 20th-century decorative brassware typically exported from India or the Middle East. No maker’s marks or inscriptions are present on the exterior of the pieces.
Condition report:
The items show visible surface tarnish, oxidation, and a darkened patina consistent with age and use. The discolouration is most notable around the rims and bases. No significant dents, splits, or structural damage are evident.
