A 1984 United Kingdom Brilliant Uncirculated coin collection issued by the Royal Mint. The set is presented in its original blue card commemorative folder featuring Britannia on the cover. This lot consists of a collection of coins of various denominations including a nickel-brass one pound, cupro-nickel fifty pence, twenty pence, ten pence, and five pence, and bronze two pence, one penny, and half penny coins. The reverse of the one pound coin features the Scottish thistle and diadem design by Leslie Durbin with the incuse edge inscription NEMO ME IMPUNE LACESSIT. Other reverse designs include the Britannia type (50p), the crowned Tudor rose (20p), a crowned lion passant (10p), a crowned thistle (5p), the Prince of Wales feathers (2p), a crowned portcullis (1p), and the imperial crown (1/2p). All obverses feature the second portrait of Queen Elizabeth II by Arnold Machin. This set includes the final year of issue for the decimal half penny denomination.

Condition report:

The coins are in brilliant uncirculated condition, retaining full original mint lustre. Minor natural toning is visible on the bronze half penny. The card presentation folder exhibits light shelf wear, minor surface scuffs, and rubbing to the corners and edges consistent with age and storage.
