This lot features a large-format commemorative coin issued by the Cook Islands in 2007 to celebrate the Diamond Wedding anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip. The obverse features a right-facing effigy of Her Majesty wearing a crown and floral-patterned veil, with small stones set into the crown and garment. The accompanying Certificate of Authenticity identifies the coin as a 5oz coin with diamonds. The coin is struck in a yellow metal with a brilliant proof-like finish and bears the inscriptions COOK ISLANDS, 5 DOLLARS, 2007, and ELIZABETH II. It is housed in a clear protective plastic capsule and presented in a dark blue hinged display case.
