Buyer's Premium:

This lot comprises two earthenware ceramic pots. The first is a straight-sided cylindrical pot with a rounded rim, featuring a transfer-printed design of vertical decorative bands in ochre yellow, terracotta red, and sage green. The pattern incorporates a Greek key meander motif alongside stylised floral and geometric designs. The base bears a red circular backstamp for The National Trust Ickworth, specially made in England by Portmeirion, featuring a design by Pat Albeck. The second is a tapered cylindrical studio pottery pot with a flared, dark brown glazed rim. The body displays textured horizontal ribbing and is hand-decorated with stylised foliate motifs in green and brown glazes over a cream ground. The base of this pot is unmarked, showing three oval kiln stilt marks where the reddish clay body is visible. Both items bear temporary auction labels.

Condition report:

Both items are in good overall condition with no visible chips, cracks, or restoration. There is minor surface wear and shelf wear to the bases consistent with age and use.
