A set of eight silver plated souvenir teaspoons by the silversmiths Mappin & Webb. Each spoon features a polychrome enamelled finial depicting the coat of arms or crest for various British cities, including London, Birmingham, Sheffield, Edinburgh, Exeter, York, Glasgow, and Chester. The stems are decorated with subtle foliate motifs and bear struck hallmarks to the reverse. The set is presented in its original blue leatherette case with a fitted blue velvet interior. The white silk-lined lid features the Mappin & Webb company name and two Royal Warrants, including those for Her Majesty the Queen and the Prince of Wales.
Condition report:
The set is in very good condition with typical light surface wear and minor tarnish consistent with age. The enamelled detailing on the finials is intact and well-preserved. The presentation case is in good order with only minor external scuffing.
