A matched pair of 9 carat gold drop earrings, each featuring a trillion-cut purple amethyst gemstone. The gemstones are cut with specialized internal concave faceting, often referred to as fantasy cutting, which creates a radial starburst light effect from the centre. Each stone is secured in a three-prong basket setting. The earrings are suspended from leverback closures. Indentations indicative of hallmarks are present on the interior of the leverback wires, but the marks are not clearly legible and cannot be transcribed.
Condition report:
A matched pair in good overall condition. The amethysts show no visible chips or abrasions to the facet edges. The 9 carat gold settings and leverback mechanisms are functional with only minor surface wear consistent with use.
