A pair of tapered cylindrical stoneware garden planters, each constructed with a thick, rounded, everted rim and a single drainage hole located at the base. The exterior body of each vessel is decorated with horizontal variegated banding in tones of chocolate brown and ochre. A subtle incised foliate scroll motif is present around the midsection of both items. The interiors are finished in a natural, unglazed stoneware. No maker’s marks or capacity stamps are present.
Condition report:
The planters are in used, garden-ready condition. Significant mineral buildup and soil staining are visible to the interiors. The rims exhibit minor surface nicks, fritting, and wear consistent with outdoor use and age. No major cracks or structural damage noted.
