Buyer's Premium:

This collection includes a variety of early to mid-20th century workshop tools and precision instruments, predominantly of British manufacture. A brass blowlamp is present, bearing an embossed circular maker mark for Governor, featuring a man head motif and a horizontal nozzle with cooling vents. This is accompanied by a larger brass blowtorch with a wooden handle and top-mounted lever mechanism, in the style of Turner Brass Works. A brass paraffin pressure stove base on three support legs is also included. Soldering equipment consists of a heavy-duty industrial soldering iron with a substantial copper head and turned wooden handle. A boxed set of V-blocks and clamp, model 502, is contained within its original light blue cardboard box, marked Made in England. Precision measuring tools include two gram-tension gauges by the General Electric Co Ltd (G.E.C.) of England; one is brass-cased and the other is red-cased with a scale for 10 to 80 grams and British patent marks 232 and 441164. Further items include a brass tubular spring balance with an S-hook, several pairs of metal pliers, an adjustable wooden-handled clamp, and a large cast-iron frame clamping tool.

Condition report:

All items are offered in an as-found, unrestored condition. There is evidence of heavy surface oxidation and rust on iron components, with a significant aged patina across all brass surfaces. Wooden handles show wear and surface grime consistent with workshop use. Cardboard boxes are worn and damaged. The pressure-based items and measuring gauges have not been tested for functionality or accuracy.
