Live auction will start in __ days and __ hours

Start price: £1

Buyer's Premium:

A set of four fine porcelain decorative collector plates from the Spirit of the West series, produced by The Franklin Mint in association with the Western Heritage Museum. Each circular plate features a central transfer-printed design based on original artwork by Hermon Adams, depicting Native American warriors on horseback within dramatic landscapes. The edges of each plate are finished with a thin gold-coloured rim.

The individual scenes comprise:
– A warrior on a dark horse traversing a snowy, mountainous terrain.
– A warrior wearing a wolf-skin headdress on a dark horse in a misty woodland setting.
– A warrior on a light-coloured horse with arms outstretched against an expansive sunset landscape.
– A warrior on a chestnut horse with a large bird of prey taking flight from his outstretched hand.

The reverse of the plates bears a backstamp for the Western Heritage Museum and the cursive signature of the artist, Hermon Adams. The plates are identified as being from a Limited Edition series, with individual handwritten plate numbers including 9S 1513. The reverse identifies the manufacturer as The Franklin Mint and specifies the material as fine porcelain. A printed warning at the base states that the items are decorative accessories and not intended for food consumption due to the potential toxicity of the pigments used.

Condition report:

The plates are in good condition with no visible chips, cracks, or signs of restoration. The transfer-printed images and gold-coloured rims appear well-preserved with no significant surface wear.
