A 925 silver locket ring, of the type traditionally referred to as a poison ring, featuring a circular hinged lid that opens to reveal a shallow internal compartment. The domed lid is embellished with intricate granulation, wirework, and scrolling filigree motifs. It is set with a central oval purple gemstone, likely an amethyst, in a bezel setting, flanked by two teardrop-shaped yellow metal accents. The lid is secured by a functional loop-and-peg latch mechanism. The wide shank is finished with a border of raised silver spheres. No maker’s marks or hallmarks are visible.
