Buyer's Premium:

An antique manual meat chopper manufactured by the Enterprise Manufacturing Co. of Philadelphia, USA. This No. 10 model is constructed from cast iron and features its original tinned finish, a common protective coating for culinary tools of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The unit is designed for bench mounting, incorporating a top screw-type clamp mechanism with a swivel foot. It is equipped with a long manual crank arm terminating in a turned wooden handle grip. The main housing barrel is embossed with the words ENTERPRISE, TINNED, and MEAT CHOPPER. The upper clamp bracket features the maker’s mark ENTERPRISE MFG. CO. PHILA. U.S.A., while the lower flared section is marked NO. 10. The assembly appears complete, including the main body, internal components, end cap, and handle.
Height: 12.5 inches (32 cm)
Crank handle length: 8 inches (20 cm).

Condition report:

The tool is in antique condition with wear consistent with age and domestic use. There is significant surface oxidation and extensive wear to the original tinned finish, resulting in a dark, mottled patina across the cast iron surfaces. The wooden handle grip remains intact with some surface scuffing. The item is sold as a collectible; mechanical functionality and internal cleanliness for food preparation have not been tested.
