A pair of large, cylindrical black-glazed terracotta planters from the Heritage Garden Pottery collection. The vessels feature a slightly flared rim decorated with two prominent horizontal ridges. The exterior is finished in a high-gloss black glaze, while the interior remains unglazed, revealing a reddish-brown earthenware clay body. Each pot is decorated with a sprigged oval medallion to the side containing an embossed, stylized tree with a dense canopy, a mark characteristic of the Woodlodge Heritage range.
Condition report:
The pots are in good overall condition with some signs of previous use. There is general surface scuffing and light marking to the glossy glaze. A small chip is visible on the rim of one pot. No major cracks or repairs are evident.
