The composition depicts the central figure with long auburn hair dressed in white, seated in a wooden boat as she floats down a river through a wooded landscape. The boat is draped with an illustrated tapestry and features three candles at the bow. A printed signature and date reading ‘J.W. Waterhouse 1888’ is visible in the lower right corner. The item is an unframed commercial reproduction.
