A contemporary square topped side or occasional table constructed from solid light coloured hardwood planks. The piece is decorated throughout with Lichtenberg figures, which are fractal patterns created by passing high voltage electricity through the timber to produce charred, branching designs. These lightning like markings are present across the entire tabletop, the frieze, and all four square tapered legs. The wood grain is visible beneath a natural finish. No maker’s marks or labels are present on the item.
Condition report:
The table is in good condition. The charred, recessed fractal patterns are an intentional decorative feature of the wood burning process. The timber surfaces show minimal signs of wear consistent with age and use.
