This vintage portable paraffin greenhouse heater is attributed to Parasene, closely resembling the Superwarm series. The unit features a circular fuel tank base finished in green paint, which supports a central galvanised metal chimney section. Mounted at the top is a wide, rectangular heat diffuser with numerous perforated ventilation slots designed to distribute warmth. The heater is equipped with a screw-top filler cap and a knurled wick adjustment knob. A small label is present on the side of the tank, although the lettering is not clearly legible. Items of this type were common in mid-20th-century British horticulture for frost protection.
Condition report:
The item displays age-related wear and signs of use. There is visible surface oxidisation to the galvanised chimney and heat diffuser. The green-painted base shows several abrasions, paint loss, and areas of light surface corrosion. The wick adjustment mechanism is present but has not been tested for operation, and the unit is sold as seen.
