This lot comprises two vintage professional fastener assortment cases with their respective contents. One case is finished in a grey paint scheme and is branded as TurboSilver, specifically marked for Single Thread Woodscrews with rifled shanks. The interior lid features a printed size and reference chart titled TurboSilver General Case. The second case is finished in red and is branded as QuickSilver, designed for Twin Thread Wood Screws. Both cases are constructed from painted sheet steel with integrated metal latches and moulded plastic carry handles. The interiors are fitted with removable plastic divider bins in yellow and blue. The contents consist of a mixed assortment of hardware, primarily various sizes of steel and zinc-plated wood screws, plastic masonry wall plugs, and miscellaneous fixings. These brands were commonly distributed through United Kingdom trade suppliers during the late 20th century.
Condition report:
Both cases show significant signs of industrial use and age-related wear. The grey TurboSilver case exhibits notable surface oxidation and patches of rust across the lid, although the internal chart remains largely intact. The red QuickSilver case shows heavy wear to the exterior paintwork, and the paper lining on the underside of the lid is heavily deteriorated and partially missing. Both items show general scuffing, dirt, and surface corrosion consistent with long-term workshop storage. The latches and handles remain in functional condition.
