A Royal Doulton bone china floral posy ornament. The piece is modelled as a traditional garden wheelbarrow with a single wheel and two rear supports, finished in a plain white glaze. The barrow is filled with an arrangement of hand-modelled and hand-painted flowers, featuring blooms in shades of white, yellow, pink, and blue, set among green foliage. The underside bears a green printed factory backstamp consisting of a lion rampant standing upon a crown above a circular arrangement of text featuring four interlocking D symbols at the centre. The transcribed text reads: ROYAL DOULTON and ENGLAND within the inner circle, with MADE IN ENGLAND above and BONE CHINA below.
Condition report:
The ornament is in good overall condition. There are some minor, minute nibbles to the edges of several delicate petals, notably on the blue and pink flowers in the foreground. No significant chips, cracks, or repairs are apparent to the wheelbarrow structure itself.
