An Isle of Wight Studio Glass hand-blown spherical paperweight in clear glass. The interior features a dense swirling core of deep amethyst-coloured glass trails. The design is further decorated with numerous controlled air bubbles of varying sizes, characteristic of the bullicante technique. The base of the paperweight is acid-etched with the circular maker mark reading ISLE OF WIGHT ENGLAND.
Condition report:
The paperweight is in good overall condition with no visible chips, cracks, or bruises to the glass body. The base shows minor surface scratches and shelf wear consistent with age and use.
