A pair of matching figurines produced by Beswick, England, depicting male pheasants. Each bird is modelled in a standing position upon a small, naturalistic, mound-shaped base with a textured surface representing grass or foliage. The figurines are crafted from glazed ceramic with a high-gloss polychrome finish. The decoration features deep bottle-green heads and necks, rich russet-brown breasts, and golden-yellow wing patches with dark brown and blue detailing. Each piece retains an original green and gold oval foil label on its base reading BESWICK ENGLAND.
Condition report:
The figurines are in excellent condition with no visible chips, cracks, or signs of restoration. The glaze remains bright and shows no evidence of crazing. Both original factory labels are present and well-preserved.
