A collection of mint stamps and philatelic stamp cards issued by the Isle of Man postal authority. The group primarily comprises the 1982 Tourist Trophy (TT) 75th Anniversary issue (Stanley Gibbons #208-212) and the 1985 Century of Motoring series (Stanley Gibbons #287-291). Visible denominations include 9p, 12p, 14p, and 31p. The stamps were produced by the printer Questa and feature artwork by illustrators A. D. Theobald and Nicholson RI. The 1982 issues commemorate specific racing history milestones, including tributes to Charlie Collier, Freddie Dixon, and Jimmie Simpson. The 1985 issues form part of the “Century of Motoring” commemorative series.
Condition report:
All items are in mint, un-cancelled condition. The stamps exhibit very fine centring with fully intact perforations. There are no visible signs of foxing, toning, creases, or surface abrasions. The card backings remain clean with sharp corners and no evidence of mounting.
