A partial porcelain tea service produced by Victoria China, Czechoslovakia. The set is crafted from white porcelain and features a decorative scheme consisting of a cream-coloured border overlaid with intricate gilt scrollwork and filigree. This is further accented by transfer-printed floral sprays in primary shades of red, blue, and green. The rims, handles, and footrings are finished with gilding. The side plates and serving plates feature a distinctive lobed, approximately square form. The underside of the pieces bears a green backstamp featuring a crown symbol above the words VICTORIA, CHINA, and CZECHOSLOVAKIA. There is also a small hand-applied mark that appears to read 8 52. The service comprises 14 pieces: two teacups, one milk jug, one large open bowl, four saucers, four square-form lobed side plates, and two shaped serving plates.
Condition report:
The set appears to be in good overall condition with some minor surface wear and rubbing to the gilding consistent with age and use. No significant chips, cracks, or repairs are visible in the primary images.
