Buyer's Premium:

A Price & Kensington earthenware vase of cylindrical form featuring a stepped shoulder and a flared neck. The exterior is decorated with a relief-moulded pattern consisting of stylised botanical and geometric motifs arranged in vertical panels and horizontal bands. The piece is finished in a high-gloss, two-tone reactive glaze, featuring a deep olive green body with bands of turquoise blue pooled in the recesses of the design. The base bears a central printed manufacturer mark featuring a laurel wreath enclosing the words PRICE KENSINGTON above MADE IN ENGLAND. Stamped around the circumference of the base are the words MADE IN ENGLAND and ATHENA AND P&K. There is a small incised mark and an adhesive stock label present.
Height: Approximately 21.5 cm.


Condition report:

The vase is in very good overall condition. There are no visible chips, cracks, or signs of restoration to the body or rim. Fine crazing is present to the glaze on the base, which is typical for earthenware of this period.
