A vintage Meccano No. 6 construction outfit manufactured by Meccano Ltd., Liverpool, England. The set consists of various painted steel components, including perforated strips, girders, and plates in red and green finishes, alongside blue circular plates. The internal compartments contain several brass gears and pulleys, and a green-lidded Meccano accessory tin featuring a graphic of a boy, which houses a collection of nuts, bolts, and small fasteners. The set is presented in its original yellow-formed internal cardboard tray and includes an instruction manual page illustrating model 6.16, a Swing Bridge. The box lid features a large graphic of a forklift and includes printed text stating Engineering for boys of all ages and You can build HUNDREDS of fine models with this Outfit. The right-hand edge is marked MADE IN ENGLAND BY MECCANO LTD. Marks including Meccano and Made in England are stamped onto various individual components and the lid of the accessory tin. Handwritten notations in pencil and ink are present on the box lid.

Condition report:
The original cardboard box is in poor to fair condition, showing significant signs of wear including heavy tears, areas of missing surface paper, and extensive historical repairs using yellowed adhesive tape. The interior of the lid features various ink scribbles. The internal metal components show typical signs of play wear, including surface scratches, some paint loss, and minor oxidation to the metal surfaces. While a substantial number of pieces are present in their original tray recesses, the completeness of the set is not verified.
