A ceramic storage canister or cookie jar designed in the form of a seated Scottish Terrier. The piece is finished in a uniform high-gloss black glaze with a two-part construction featuring a removable head serving as the lid. The dog is decorated with a red, yellow, black, and white tartan-patterned coat and a matching collar around its neck. Stylised features include large black and white eyes and a prominent muzzle. A small, illegible mark in gold-tone lettering is present on the front of the chest. Items of this design are often attributed to manufacturers such as MSRF Design Studio.
Condition report:
Good overall condition. The high-gloss glaze shows no visible chips, cracks, or crazing. The tartan transfer pattern is intact and well-defined with no significant wear.
