Royal Warwick Loch Leven pattern from the Lochs of Scotland series. This two-piece earthenware set comprises a small teapot and a matching twin-handled lidded sugar bowl, each decorated with blue transfer-printed landscape scenes. The designs depict a tranquil Scottish loch surrounded by large trees and rolling hills, framed by scrolling floral and leaf borders on the lids and upper rims. The teapot features a tall, elegant body with a high curved spout and a large C-scroll handle. The sugar bowl is of a squat, rectangular form with two small lug handles. The base of the sugar bowl is marked with a blue transfer-printed backstamp containing the series title Lochs of Scotland, the pattern name LOCH LEVEN, the brand ROYAL WARWICK, a shield featuring a unicorn, and ENGLAND. There is also an impressed mark reading 10P.
Condition report:
Both pieces exhibit overall fine crazing to the glaze. No chips, cracks, or repairs are visible.
