Each piece is constructed from brass with a textured grey-toned ground featuring hand-incised and enamelled floral and foliate motifs in shades of orange, pink, white, and gold. The vase is of baluster form with a flared rim and circular foot, featuring a central decoration of an owl on a branch. The small lidded jar is of squat globular form with a domed lid and a pointed brass finial. Polished brass is visible at the rims, bases, and highlights of the decoration. No maker’s marks are present.

Vase height: 210mm
Lidded jar height: 130mm.

Condition report:

General surface wear throughout with some minor losses to the enamelled finish. The exposed brass sections show natural patination and light oxidation consistent with age.
