A pair of contemporary hand-crafted wooden duck figures produced by The Duck Company (DCUK). The bodies are carved from bamboo root, displaying a distinctive speckled grain and natural texture. The necks and heads are fashioned from a smoother, dark-toned wood. Each figure is individually named and features a painted band on one leg. The first figure, named Henry, features a blue painted band on its lower right leg. The second figure, named Clementine, features a yellow painted band on its lower left leg. Both ducks retain their original card identification tags tied around the necks with twine, bearing the maker’s website address.
Height: 33cm to 35cm (13 to 14 inches).
Condition report:
Both items appear to be in good contemporary condition with no visible chips, cracks, or repairs. Minor natural variations in the wood grain and finish are inherent to the hand-carved manufacturing process. The original tags are present but show minor creasing.
