A Coalport fine bone china vase of flared trumpet form on a pedestal base, decorated in the Ludlow pattern. The exterior features a central polychrome floral spray consisting of a large pink rose, deep red roses, a white anemone with a yellow and green centre, yellow lilies, and clusters of small blue forget-me-nots, all set amongst green foliage. The decoration is executed in a high-quality transfer-print technique with hand-finished enamel details. The vessel is finished with a thin gilt line at the rim and a wider gilt band around the foot. The base bears a printed mark in brown ink featuring a crown symbol above three rectangular blocks, flanked by the words BONE and CHINA. Below this is the text COALPORT, MADE IN ENGLAND, EST. 1750, and the pattern name LUDLOW.
