A large horizontally-oriented colour print after the 1873 painting ‘Too Early’ by James Jacques Joseph Tissot. The Victorian genre scene depicts a high-society salon or ballroom gathering with several figures in elaborate period evening attire, including women in voluminous ruffled gowns and gentlemen in formal dress. A musical quartet with a piano is visible in the background to the left. The print is presented under glass within a dark-stained moulded wooden frame featuring a gold-toned inner slip. No signature or markings are visible on the front of the work.

Condition report:
The print appears to be in good overall condition. There is minor surface wear and light scuffing to the wooden frame consistent with age. The work has not been examined out of the frame.
