A collection of various woodenware items comprising a large, thick-walled bowl, a smaller spherical vessel with highly figured swirled grain, a small cylindrical lidded jar featuring relief-carved floral decoration, and a leaf-shaped divided tray. The group also contains a long, handle-less cylindrical rolling pin, a multi-sectioned turned wooden spindle or finial, and two decorative egg-shaped objects, one showing natural grain and the other with a painted finish. The pieces are crafted from several different wood types and exhibit various lathe-turned and hand-carved finishing techniques. No maker’s marks or signatures are visible.
Condition report:
The collection exhibits surface wear consistent with age and use. Notable scuffs, light scratches, and minor indentations are present across the pieces, particularly on the larger bowl and the rolling pin. The painted egg shows some surface wear and minor pigment loss. Overall condition is generally fair to good.
