A 1989 United Kingdom silver proof £2 coin issued to commemorate the tercentenary of the Bill of Rights. The reverse design features the interlaced cypher of William and Mary surmounted by a royal crown and set over a representation of the mace from the House of Commons. The legend around the rim reads TERCENTENARY OF THE BILL OF RIGHTS and includes the commemorative dates 1689 and 1989. This specimen is struck in .925 sterling silver with a proof finish, displaying frosted relief against mirror-like fields. The coin is presented in its original clear plastic protective capsule, housed within a fitted velvet-lined case, and is accompanied by a descriptive card.
