A varied collection of costume jewellery and commemorative items. The lot includes a yellow metal cluster ring prong-set with a large oval faceted blue stone, appears to be paste, surrounded by smaller clear paste stones. A group of silver-tone base metal novelty drop earrings are featured, shaped as miniature industrial tools including hacksaws, open-end wrenches, pliers, and axes. Also present is a pair of black-tone metal cufflinks featuring the Superman logo, and a silver-tone stick pin with a red faceted bead and stylized wing motif. Commemorative items include a British five-shilling crown coin featuring George VI and an enamel shield badge marked 1936-1996 DIAMOND JUBILEE CROMER. The items are partially housed in a blue Ronson box, originally for electrical shavers, with the lid liner printed with the Ronson Products Ltd supplier mark.
Condition report:
The cluster ring shows significant tarnish and loss of finish to the metal. The novelty jewellery and accessories show surface wear, minor scratches, and oxidation consistent with use. The commemorative coin and badge show typical age-related patina. The Ronson box exhibits wear to both the exterior and the interior lining.
