A matching pair of decorative brass vases featuring hand-etched decoration. The recessed patterns have been filled with a black substance, likely lacquer or enamel, to create a contrasting black and gold aesthetic. The ornamentation includes horizontal banding, stylized floral motifs, and panels of foliate scrollwork. Each vase features a flared trumpet-style rim and neck, a bulbous lower section, and a circular pedestal foot. The items reflect a mid-20th century South Asian style, frequently associated with production in Moradabad, India. No maker’s marks are visible on the exterior or the visible portions of the bases.
