A pair of hand-carved decorative wooden duck figurines by DCUK (The Duck Company). The figures are constructed with bodies made from bamboo root, displaying the characteristic pitted and speckled grain of the material. The heads, necks, and feet are carved from a contrasting smooth hardwood with a rich brown finish. One duck, identified by a swing tag as Henry, is posed looking forward and upwards. The second duck, named Clementine, is depicted with its head turned back over its shoulder. Both figurines feature painted bands on their lower legs, one in blue and one in yellow. Each duck retains its original cardboard swing tag attached with string.
Height: 33 cm – 35 cm.
Condition report:
The items are in good overall condition. There are no visible chips, cracks, or repairs. As they are handcrafted from natural bamboo root and hardwood, there are inherent variations in the wood grain, texture, and colour between the two figures.
