A Swiss-made desk or library clock of circular drum form by the manufacturer Swiza. The case is constructed from gilt metal with a brown marbled resin finish designed to resemble faux tortoiseshell, featuring a protective swivel lid with a matching finish. The gilt dial has a central circular section in a matching faux tortoiseshell finish, featuring black Roman numeral hour markers and black baton hands. The dial is signed SWIZA at the 12 o’clock position, QUARTZ above the 6 o’clock position, and SWISS MADE at the base. The clock is powered by a quartz movement and is accompanied by its original red card presentation box with white lettering.
Condition report:
The clock is in good overall condition, showing minor surface scratches and light tarnishing to the gilt metal areas consistent with handled use. The marbled resin finish remains intact. The movement was functional at the time of cataloguing; however, it has not been tested for long-term timekeeping accuracy or battery life. The red presentation box shows light wear and scuffing to the edges and corners.
