A polychrome enamel lapel pin depicting the head of a smiling clown. The figure is portrayed wearing a red fez adorned with a relief-moulded gold-toned emblem of the Shriners (Ancient Arabic Order of the Nobles of the Mystic Shrine), featuring a scimitar and crescent moon. The clown is further detailed with a ruffled yellow collar and traditional face paint. The pin is constructed from a gold-toned base metal with red, yellow, and black enamel infill. There are no maker marks visible on the front of the item.
Condition report:
The pin is in fair to good condition. There is visible surface wear and light scuffing to the enamel, particularly on the red sections of the hat and collar. The item remains in its protective clear plastic bag.
