Two vintage enamel lapel pins associated with the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) conservation organisation. The first item is a square-format pin featuring a green enamel background with a depiction of a red and blue macaw perched on a stylized branch. The base of the pin is inscribed with the letters WWF in a gold-toned serif font. The second item is a shaped pin in the form of a giant panda, the global mascot for the organisation. The panda is depicted in a seated pose, rendered in black and cream-coloured enamel with a small, stylized yellow plant motif on its lower left limb. Both pins are constructed from enamel on gold-toned base metal with pin-back fasteners.
Condition report:
Both pins are in good vintage condition. The enamel on the macaw pin remains vibrant with minor surface wear and light scratches to the metal borders. The panda pin shows some minor age-related yellowing to the cream-coloured enamel sections and light surface patination to the metal.
