A clear lead crystal vase of tapered, faceted form produced by the French manufacturer Cristal d’Arques. The body is decorated with a deeply cut geometric pattern consisting of interlocking diamond and star motifs, creating sharp multi-faceted surfaces designed to enhance light refraction. The vessel features a scalloped upper rim and is supported by a square base. It retains its original oval gold foil manufacturer’s label on the upper section, which is inscribed GARANTI PLUS DE 24 % DE PLOMB / CRISTAL / d’Arques / FRANCE. This identifies the material as full lead crystal with a minimum lead oxide content of 24 per cent. The item is housed within a red velvet-lined presentation box.
Condition report:
The vase is in excellent condition, with no visible chips, cracks, or bruises to the sharp faceted edges. The crystal remains clear and bright with no signs of clouding or interior residue. The presentation box shows only minor signs of external shelf wear.
