A collection of UK pre-decimal and early decimal bronze and brass coins. The lot includes various denominations such as pennies, halfpennies, brass threepences, and two pence pieces. Visible obverse portraits include Edward VII and George V. Design types present include seated Britannia on a 1914 penny, the Golden Hind on a 1941 halfpenny, and the Prince of Wales’s feathers on decimal coinage inscribed NEW PENCE. The coins are contained within a vintage cylindrical metal tin featuring a lithographed floral motif of poppies and blossoms on a green and yellow ground.
Condition report:
The coins are in circulated condition, exhibiting surface wear, grime, oxidation, and dark toning. The vintage metal tin shows significant signs of age and use, including paint loss, chipping, surface scratches, and oxidation.
