A large lidded metal pouring vessel, constructed from stainless steel with a hammered planished finish throughout. The form comprises a cylindrical body decorated with four groups of concentric horizontal ribbed bands, leading to a tapered shoulder and a narrow neck. The vessel is fitted with a large swinging bail handle at the top, a fixed secondary curved handle to the rear, and a long, tapered pouring spout. It includes a snug-fitting removable lid featuring two raised hemispherical studs. No maker’s marks, stamps, or hallmarks are visible. Similar examples are often associated with showman’s or travelling community utility wares.
