A pair of vintage Lieberman and Gortz 16×50 Vistar binoculars. The instrument features a black textured body with metal components and a central focusing wheel. The eyepiece shoulders are clearly marked with the manufacturer name Lieberman and Gortz and the model 16 x 50 Vistar. The central adjustment dial is also inscribed 16×50. The binoculars are equipped with a black leather neck strap and are housed within a fitted brown leather carrying case. The case features a deep red velvet-lined interior and is embossed on the reverse with the words Made in England.
Condition report:
The binoculars and case exhibit signs of age and use. There is visible scuffing and general wear to the leather case and straps. The binoculars show surface wear and paint loss to the metal components, particularly on the bridge and edges. The lenses are present and appear intact; however, internal clarity, optical alignment, and mechanical function have not been tested.
