A set of mid to late 20th-century reproduction dining furniture in the Regency style. The lot comprises an extending pedestal dining table and a matching set of dining chairs. The table top is finished with mahogany veneers and features a decorative cross-banded border and a shaped serpentine edge with a moulded profile. The top is designed with a central seam to accommodate an extending mechanism. It is supported by a substantial central turned and fluted pedestal with four splayed legs, each featuring carved scroll detailing at the knees. The chairs are designed with shaped balloon-style backs and three pierced vertical splats. They are raised on curved front legs and slightly splayed back legs. The drop-in seats are upholstered in a modern cream fabric featuring a large-scale floral pattern in shades of grey and black. A paper label is present on the underside of the table, though the text is not clearly legible for transcription.
Condition report:
The set is in generally good, used condition. The polished wood surfaces, particularly the table top, exhibit visible surface scratches, small white scuffs, and minor indentations consistent with age and regular domestic use. The upholstery remains in clean condition and appears free from significant wear or staining.
